September 30th, 2025, felt like a dream, and that's exactly how it should feel when you work with such a hardworking team. I am grateful for Kim, Tami, Julie, Joy, and Becca, and for what we have created together! In January 2024, I sat down with Kim as she was looking for someone to help book the Glenview & Northbrook Professional Moms Monthly networking events. With my passion for putting events together, I volunteered instantly. We met to discuss the events and something even bigger.
A Dream of Togetherness
The founder of Park Ridge Professional Mom and now the PMCN, Tami Palmer, was already hosting events with over 50 women. We knew that was something we could build together. I quickly browsed the calendar for a date for our celebration. What immediately stood out was American Business Women's Day. It encapsulates who we are and what we aim to support.

In the time it took to create this exciting event, three new chapters launched: Julie (Morton Grove), Becca (Highland Park), and myself (Deerfield). We all came together with Glenview/Northbrook Professional Moms, led by Joy and Kim. Last year, we hosted something truly game-changing with 80 incredible businesswomen at the beautiful Hangar Two in Glenview, Illinois. We knew this celebration had to continue. It had to become a yearly tradition, and it has!
A Gathering of Empowered Women
The Second Annual American Business Women’s Day Professional Moms Luncheon was a treasure. It brought together 140 women to celebrate our diverse professions. When I first walked into the room, it was beautiful but not yet alive. Tables were still being set, final touches were being decided, and the energy had not yet taken shape.
In just an hour, with everyone stepping into their special roles, the room transformed into something magical.

You could truly feel the impact we were making. Julie, our project manager, ensured everything flowed perfectly. Becca and Joy greeted guests and joined in the excitement. Kim and Tami served as MCs, while I coordinated the swag bags, capturing reactions and video testimonials. Experiencing the shift from an empty room to a vibrant, energized space allowed me to appreciate what was being created. By the time the event began, the room was alive with energy, connection, and celebration. I could not be more grateful for the incredible teamwork that brought it all together.
Understanding Our Growth
This ceremony is significant not just for celebrating women in business but also for highlighting the growth of our chapters. Since the inception of the first event, we've seen a strong surge in participation. Members who once met in small gatherings now fill halls with enthusiastic voices, sharing stories, challenges, and triumphs.
As we celebrated that day, it was essential to acknowledge how far we've come. With every new member, we add value to our chapters and create opportunities for support and connection. In just a year and a half, we have expanded our network, paving the way for more targeted mentorship, resource sharing, and growth potential.
The Power of Connection
The value of events like these extends beyond the day itself. Connections formed during the event have led to collaboration, new business opportunities, and friendships that transcend professional boundaries. When women come together, the possibility for growth multiplies tremendously.

There is an undeniable energy present in a room filled with ambitious women. Each one brings unique perspectives that ignite ideas and promote collective progress. The Second Annual American Business Women’s Day Professional Moms Luncheon showcased this spirit beautifully.
A huge thank you to our incredible sponsors. The 40 of you who supported this event made it all possible. Your generosity and belief in professional women coming together allow us to create a space for connection, celebration, and growth. We are so grateful for each and every one of you.

Join Us and Grow Together
As we reflect on our achievements, it becomes clear: the path to growth does not end here. We can continue this momentum by inviting more women to join our network. Our goal is to create more chapters and unite even more professional moms who are eager to lift each other up.
If you're in the Chicagoland area, consider joining the Deerfield Professional Moms or surrounding groups. Collaborations await, along with the chance to be part of something larger. Together, we can create opportunities, celebrate successes, and foster an environment where professional women can thrive.

A Future of Possibilities
As we look ahead, the future is bright. The connections we’ve built will likely lead to new events, innovations, and opportunities for all participating women. Those who attended this past luncheon are not just part of a fleeting moment but pioneers in a movement dedicated to professional growth.
Let’s continue to cultivate our community. Share your stories, collaborate on projects, and uplift one another. Each member has unique skills and insights to offer; together, they create a rich tapestry of support and empowerment that benefits everyone involved.
We can confidently say: when women support one another, anything is possible.
In the years to come, may our luncheons grow even larger and our networks even stronger. We urge every professional mom and businesswoman in the Chicagoland area and beyond to consider being a part of this transformation.
A Final Note of Gratitude
In closing, thank you once again to all who contributed to the Second Annual American Business Women’s Day Professional Moms Luncheon. Your participation made this event a remarkable success. We look forward to watching our chapters grow, knowing that together we can achieve more than we could ever dream alone.
Join us in this exciting journey, and let’s make an impact, one connection at a time!
P.S. There’s nothing like speaking from the heart about what I’m passionate about. I am so thankful for this first stage moment and excited for what’s next!
